Although, India has made significant progress in key health indicators viz. IMR, MMR and life expectancy over the last six decades, our achievements lag behind the developed and developing nations on these and other healthcare parameters like bed to population ratio, doctor to population ratio, nurses to doctor ratio, health insurance penetration etc. This conference aims to discuss the desired changes needed to meet such challenges and suggest a well-defined policy that would facilitate integration of stakeholders and promote inclusion of diverse segments of society to benefit from quality healthcare provision.
