The Indian economy offers abundant opportunities to the Dutch business community. The country remains one of the fastest growing economies in the world, has a government that is ‘pro-business’ and has a young and ambitious workforce. In addition, India remains a low-cost/ high-quality destination for the relocation of business operations i.e. sourcing. These features make India an interesting and promising business partner, even more so in these challenging
financial and economic times.

There is also a wealth of opportunities in sector-specific areas, where there is strong potential for cooperation and partnerships between Dutch and Indian companies. Specific promising sectors are: IT, Agriculture & food, Infrastructure & Maritime, and Manufacturing/automotive.

These developments are recognised and supported by the Dutch government and organisations dedicated to encouraging and promoting trade and investments. The NICCT, KPMG and ING are
highly committed to strengthening the bilateral economic relations between India and the Netherlands, and have set up an interesting programme for the second Netherlands-India Business Meet.
